Geling Yan, as one of the most prominent contemporary Chinese writers overseas , has been widely credited with sharp views and and unique point upon it. The paper is to make a comparative study of the complicated and complex gender relation between the heroes and heroines intertwined with Freud’s psychological theory that has provided with a special point of view on it in the Banquet Bug and Dead- end Café.
