This paper mainly discusses different translation styles of Zheng Zhenduo’s and Feng Tang’s Versions of Stray Birds. Stray Birds is a collection of words and thoughts by poet and author Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore is known widely as the first Nobel laureate from Asia and won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Stray Birds is a highly recommended work for those who are longtime fans of the writings of Rabindranath Tagore and also for those who are beginning to just discover his amazing, inspirational words and thoughts for the first time. In China, the most classic and widespread Chinese version of Stray Birds is Zheng Zhenduo’s translation. And recently, contemporary writer and poet Feng Tang has published a Chinese version of Stray Birds in an entirely different translation style. From the translation of words, phrases and sentences, this paper is to make comparisons of these two versions to compares the translation styles of Zheng Zhenduo’s and Feng Tang’s Stray Birds.
