For a long time most of scholars emphasizes much more on the absurd subject of The Stranger, while a few papers pay attention to the legal thought of this masterpiece. This paper aims to explore the law paradox from the opinion of the rule of adjudication. Through Albert Camus' The Stranger, this paper will make an analysis of its law thoughts, law rules and law practice, and make a thorough inquiry the legal phenomenon in that time. Methods as consulting documents in China National Knowledge Internet, asking supervisor's advice and making comparison with the foreign thesis about this subject will be applied in this paper. In the first part, this paper will talk about the background of this book, introducing the social phenomenon of that time. Next, it will analyze the law subjects in this work including the law paradoxes, illustrating the law thoughts embodied in this work. The following part will make a inquiry of the relationship between the law and the literature. At the last part, the paper will attach much importance to the exploring significance of this paper from the rules of adjudication. Through this paper, the readers will form a general understanding of the legal phenomenon in Camus' times.
