With the popularity of the TV shows, people from all over the world are interested in the films or TV shows which are full of philosophy. The characters—Xu Sanduo in the Soldier Attacks and the Forrest Gump in the Forrest Gumpare famous as an ordinary hero who is foolish but generally successful in the daily life. They are on behalf of Chinese and American dreams and cultures. Both of them are influenced by different family educationsin different countries, however, they seemed to achieve the same success. From the phenomenon, we can thinkthe significance of family education no matter where you are. The paper aims to compare the different family educations of Xu Sanduo and Forrest Gump and explore the differencesand similarities.
