American president’s address usually expresses theleader’s and his government’s wisdom, eloquence and charming, so it has wideinfluence and huge significance. This paper will take Obama’s representative addressesas corpus and analyze them from syntax and discourse level. In the discourselevel this paper will illustrate features of layout strategy in addresses. Inthe syntax level the paper will analyze rhetorical features. Finally, the paperwill generally conclude the stylistic features of president Obama’s address. Thepaper should represent some innovation in stylistic research such as the surveyof feedback from the listeners, the significance of the President’s address.
