This paper mainlyfocuses on the impact of direct intercultural contact with foreigners onChinese college students' intercultural communicative competence. This paperfirstly introduces the definition of direct contact and interculturalcommunicative competence, presenting the six dimensions of measuringintercultural communicative competence. Then the paper researches the effect ofdirect contact with foreigners on Chinese college students' interculturalcommunicative competence from the six dimensions. Finally, after concluding theanalysis, the paper explores the new models of cultivating learners'intercultural communicative competence.
