Along with the improvement of science andtechnology, every country attaches great importance to education since thecompetitions among different nations essentially base on talentedprofessionals. Thus, family education, one of the most important parts ofeducation, which plays an indispensable role in shaping children’s world views and forming thinking patterns, also deservesto be valued. Virtually, every country differs significantly in their ways offamily education which also lead to different educational results.

Based on American TV series Modern Familyand Chinese TV series A Little Reunion, this paper mainly analyzes thedifferences of family education on five aspects of parent-child relationship,parenting views, parenting methods, parenting contents and parenting results.It also explores the various reasons for different types of family educationbetween China and America.In addition, this paper provides useful enlightenmentfor Chinese young parents to educate their children in a better way.
