Drama inEducation (DIE), as an innovative teaching method, is deemed as an effectiveway to augment primary school students’ Core English Literacy due to its vividform.By means of questionnaire andobservation, this article tries to figure out whether the application of DIE inprimary school English classes can improve elementary students'''''''' Core EnglishLiteracy or not and how to use DIE correctly to improve elementary students''''''''Core English Literacy.
2. 实验内容和要求
Content:Questionnaire and classroom observation are goingto be used to make a survey concerning the application condition of DIE inprimary school English classes and the effect DIE produces to primary schoolstudents’ Core English Literacy. The questionnaire is mainly for in-service English teachers and pupils of grade 3-6 and the students of normal universities. By data analysis, the situationconcerning the application condition of DIE in primary school English classes, teacher''s existing level of knowledge about DIE and theirattitudes towards DIE can be clearly seen. What''s more, observe some primary school English classes which use DIE in practical. By observing the degree of students'' participation and adaptation, the frequency of speaking English in classes, the responses and answers of studentsand the gap between the teacher''s expected and actual results ,etc, the change of students'' Core English Literacy can be reflected.
At the end of this thesis, the summary of this research and some suggestions about how to use DIE correctly to some front-line teachers andstudents in the normal college willed be written.
