Law is the pillar of a great power. Since the 18th CPCNational Congress, the strategy, comprehensively implement the rule of law, hasbeen further advanced and become an important basis for the governance systemand capability. This achievement comes from the inheritance of our country’sexcellent legal tradition and benefits from the absorption of foreign legalcivilization. Translation is a bridge between Chinese and Western cultures,which plays an important role in the introduction of foreign laws. In the fieldof legal English translation research, however, most scholars focus on legalprovision rather than judgment. Despite the judgment applies only to individualcases, it should not be ignored not only for its flexible application of thelaw, but also because it contains the balance of emotion and reason and theunderstanding of society and life. Undoubtedly, it is of great value to study the translationstrategies of judgments in foreign classic cases for enriching legal practiceand building a country ruled by law.

This thesis, based on the perspective of NarrativeTheory of Translation and taking The Wisdom of The Judges as an example,expounds the narrative characteristics and translation strategies from microand macro levels. In addition, this thesis also summarizes and exploresstrategies for E-Ctranslation of judgment through consulting materials and translationpractice.

2. Collect data and materials for the dissertation and write the thesison schedule.

3. The thesis should give an elaborate andexhaustive research on the given topic with independent work.
