Autismis a medical term that researchers haven’t found a cause nor the cure. Anincreasing number of children that had autism spectrum disorder had been foundworldwide had aroused public awareness. For these children, their languagemostly appeared severe deficits but improved throughout leaning process. And asa main course preschool children will confront in their future study, Englishshould be lead in and be regard as an initial part in their autismrehabilitation education. This study examined English character recognition andits cognitive and linguistic correlate in Chinese preschool children withautism spectrum disorder (ASD) and tried to answer questions about theircapabilities in learning second language plus certain teaching methods. Thisthesis is to research into the field of autism, to understand theirsimilarities and differences, and to develop the intervention strategies. Byweaving these thought into the teaching strategies, the materials can fit theirpersonal needs. The special designed pedagogues can help them to adapt tonormal study.
