Basedonthecomplete,systematic,dynamicandbalancedviewpointsoftheecologicalsystem,educationalecologyfocusesontherelationshipbetweenpeople,education,andtheenvironment,thenre-analyzesandconstructseducationaltheoreticalframework.Inthe21stcentury,tomeetthechallengeoftimesandtorealizethesustainabledevelopmentofteaching,thistheoryhasbeengraduallyintroducedintocollegecurriculumasanewperspective,formingapost-moderneducationaltrend.Beyondthat,asacompulsorycourseforEnglishmajorsincollege,IntensiveReadingisbothinstrumentalandhumanistic.Inthiscontext,thecombinationofthetwoplaysanimportantroleincoursedesign.

Throughtheliteratureandquestionnairesurveymethods,thispaperwilldiscusssomeproblemsexistingintheEnglish-majorcoursedesignfrommacroandmicroaspects,analyzewhethertheintensivereadingclassfromtheecologicalperspectiveisbetterthanthenon-ecologicalperspective,andwillillustratehowthisaffectstheinteractionbetweenteachersandstudents,teachingatmosphereandeducationaldevelopment.
