The paper focus on the comparative study on black feminist quest in The Color Purpleand Sula, and tries to use the method of feminism to reveal the different ways of protagonists in fighting for their own power and rights.Through the analysis, it also shows the entire different resultsof protagonists’ self-destruction with the influence of black community and white dominance.This paper makes comparative study from physical, psychological and spiritual perspective, showing the awakening of black women in gentle and unconventional way, which fight against the double oppression－racism and sexism. After the exploration, the paper sums up the common feminist characteristics presented separately in these two novels.The comparative study between these two novelsisinstructive to the future study.
