The princess movie isamong one of the most popular and welcomed genres in Disney movies. While givingchildren a pleasant viewing experience,princess movies also create images of princesses and princes which have beenimitated frequently by children. In the early movies, the protagonist wasbeautiful and white, with a good figure, wearing beautiful clothes. And thelove of beauty is universal, children will also pay attention to the beauty oftheir appearance in their daily lives. The princess is gentle and kind incharacter, and the prince is initiative and brave, which is a model of“princess in distress waiting for the prince to rescue”, but this genderportrayal is too monotonous and rigid. Long-term acceptance of such fixed andpursuit of appearance is not conducive to children's correct understanding oftheir gender. Of course, Disney has also adapted to the development of society.In later films, gender information is constantly improving and diversifying. Forexample, as a princess armed with knowledge and bravery, Belle strives to beindependent and to control her own destiny.
